Straight Path, Inc. is a grassroots community-based organization committed to assisting individuals and families overcome barriers created by poverty, dysfunctional families, gang affiliation, histories of substance abuse, past criminal behavior and institutionalization.
Straight Path, Inc. is founded on the belief that with love, guidance and support all people are capable and worthy of leading healthy, productive and spiritually rewarding lives.
We recognize that sometimes good people make poor and unhealthy choices. The turmoil caused by one person’s poor choices impacts the lives of other family members. In our clients, poor choices have often led to the destruction of family relationships. Straight Path, Inc. works with our clients to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to make healthy choices. These healthy choices promote the restoration of a strong family unit.
Individuals reentering our community after institutionalization face enormous barriers. Even after training programs and gaining employment, people often find themselves lacking resources, knowledge and skills needed to achieve health and prosperity in their family. If not mitigated, these barriers often result in discouragement, a sense of hopelessness and often a return to poor choices and further institutionalization. Straight Path is dedicated to providing opportunities for change.
